Question #3:

Rate/Fix my Yugioh Harpie Deck (mainly fix please)?

Monsters (20):
3x Harpie Lady 1
3x Harpie Queen
3x Flying Kamakari #1
3x Hunter Owl
2x Simorgh, Bird of Divinity
2x Silpheed
2x Mist Valley Soldier
2x Harpie's Pet Baby Dragon

Spells (15):
3x Harpie's Hunting Ground
2x Elegent Egotist
2x Mystical Space Typhoon
1x Dark Hole
1x Monster Reborn
1x Creature Swap
1x Smashing Ground
1x Card Destruction
1x Book of Moon

Traps (7):
2x Bottomless Trap Hole
2x Icarus Attack
2x Waboku
1x Hysteric Party

Please don't suggest Harpie Lady Sisters or Harpie's Pet Dragon. I'm attempting to do this deck on a budget, so please don't suggest lots of expensive cards either.

I'm aware there are no Synchros. I'll probably use stuff from my Synchro deck when it's not using it, and Mist Valley Soldier is mainly in for it's effect rather than being a tuner.

I'm considering taking out Simorgh, Baby Dragon, Silpheed and maybe Soldier for some Blackwings. Any thoughts on this?
I've actually found it difficult to find even this many monsters for the deck - it had fewer before, and it just wasn't working. Besides, I'd rather have 3 of my main monsters and be more confident that I can get to them than have 2 and not have what I need.
@Teofil: I've maxed out the Harpies already - you can only have 3 of any of the Harpie Ladies and 3 Harpie Queen, because they have the same name in the deck.

@Psychic Commander: Thanks for the advice.
@ Justin: Thanks. Will definitely look at Mist Valley Falcon. I was worried Bladefly might be too fragile, but I'll try it out as well.
I haven't found Creature Swap to be a problem, but I haven't tested this build, and there were bigger problems with the last one. I'll see how it goes here, and consider something else.
Was considering swapping out Waboku anyway, so I'll add Sakuretsu, and probably swap for D. Prison later. I'll look at defensive spells/traps, but for the good ones even the commons are quite a bit more than I can justify at the moment, so I'll keep it in mind for the longer term.

Question #4:

What kind of pet would you never have?

I don't like small dogs like weiner dogs and pugs and chihuahua's and pom poms they are hard to take care of and I don't like pet birds either .
I wouldn't have pet spider or snake either.

Question #5:

Waah I have too many pets!!?!?

I have um... 22 pets :x

that includes chickens, birds, dogs, frogs, fish and guineapigs and mice.
I don't think I can look after them all properly during the week. Yet, I can hardly give them away, because that'd be irresponsible.

Trouble is i'm a bit of an adict... I've managed not to get any more pets for like 5 months now. but I want

Rabbits
Ferrets
Bearded Dragons
and a horse.

WHAT CAN I DOOO?
Pebbles? pebbles suck kinda :/

Budgies and a quail :3
iamSAM: Pet rocks? I don't need MORE pets to look after! x3 If I did get another pet it would be one of the above. but trouble is what about my other pets?

Question #6:

Training difficult animals like cats or birds...?

I am a dog trainer who trains dogs using positive reinforcement and of course making sure that I develop a relationship of trust with each dog I train. Can I use the same techniques for training things like pet birds or chickens or ducks? Can I simply use food to lure them and teach them things? Is it even possible to teach a chicken or duck to "sit" or "stay"? I have no idea. I also don't know too many cats that actually listen to their owners.

*Videos on such things will be helpful too.

Question #7:

will this hurt my pet please answer?

i bought one of those pet lasers for my dog and he just ignored it but one day i shined it at my bird and he freaked out like he was looking all over his body and it was s funny but i don't want to hurt him or put him in shock please answer

Question #8:

should i wait for her to heal?

yesterday my cockatiel hurt her foot so she id limping. when she walks it seams like it doesn't hurt .
so today i checked if she was ok. i took her out and she walked better but she still was limping. i called a pet hospital to make an appointment. but the exams cost $65 and anything else they need to do is extra.this is the first time i have to go to the vet. im not sure what im going to expect. im afraid that they might do something wrong that may effect my cockatiel for the rest of her life. and also i do not have a small travel cage for her. and i have no car. i'm not sure if i should go. i know its worth it. SORRY im writing so much its because im very nervous.
ps. when i touched or massaged her leg she did not scream or make a big deal about it . if she doesn't have anything serious i do not want to go to a pet hospital and pay $65 for them to tell me that time will heal her.

so bird owners has anything like this ever happen to your birds?

Question #9:

What potted plants/soil is safe for pet lovebirds to play in?

My pet lovebirds are fully flighted indoor birds and yesterday i was letting them run around the room, but their interest kept gravitating toward a small pot of lentil sprouts i was growing (just for fun to see if it would grow). I want to know what soil is safe/unsafe for them, and what plants i can grow so taht they can have more of a nature element in their playtime.

Thanks!
Why don't you want them to eat the sprouts and the seeds?

Question #10:

What is the funniest thing your pet has ever done?

I am looking for your funny stories I have too many pets to think up just one event off the top of my head but my puppy who is now a year and a half old has provided many an amusing scean for some reason he thinks he is part bird, rabbit, cat and any number of other animals but dog. So what is your funny pet story or if you don't have a pet your funniest kid story?

Question #11:

Parrot/parakeet suggestions?

I'm looking for a bird that will be a one person bird, because I don't trust my brother with my pet budgie (whom he was blowing air on today), and my mom is making me let him play with him. I can supervise him but I just don't feel comfortable with letting my brother play with him. Anyway, I want a bird who will at least sit on my shoulder, but I can't buy an expensive bird. I was thinking about a Ringneck parakeet, but I don't have $100-$300+ to spend and my parents aren't going to help me. I've thought about lovebirds but are they really nippy? My budgie nips sometimes, but he never breaks skin (maybe once, but I didn't bleed). I wanted a parrotlet, but being $300 that isn't going to happen :( Does anyone have any suggestions? Will a budgie learn to stay away from certain people because of what they do to them? Thanks!
I did consider cockatiels, but I heard they have dusty feathers and I think I'm a little allergic to birds, though it isn't bad enough to keep me from them ;) but if cockatiels have notably more dust, I think I should stay away from keeping one. Thanks though!

Question #12:

Guinea pig info please?

My bird died like one month ago and I feel like getting another pet. I want a guinea pig but my dad says I have to learn about them and so on. So can you guys give me as much information as possible plz? thank you. :) PEACE
Ok, for those who think i need to do stuff off yahoo answers, I just wanted to hear from people with guinea pigs. Yeesh...

Question #13:

I want to gow organic sunflower seeds for my pet birds. What month to plant/germinate seeds?

Since the area i live in is kinda coldish and windy, I think I'm going to germinate them indoors and then plant them outside.

What month do I germinate them and when can I harvest?

Question #14:

My pet birds preen each other... does that mean anything?

Jacque and Jayne, my two pet parakeets are now preening each other. I brought Jacque home a few months agao, And I've had Jayne for a year. Does the preening mean a type of affection, or harassment? :) THANKS!!!

Question #15:

Hand-Feeding: Cruel or Not?

The common belief these days is that, when a chick is hand-fed, it develops an early love for humans and grows to be a loving, cuddly pet. But is this true?

Many of us don't grasp the concept that comes before the cute, friendly bird. The hen goes through the strain of laying a clutch of eggs, for what? To have them taken away. Even worse, sometimes her young have hatched and are now helpless, blind, and featherless. While she's out getting food, a gloved hand reaches in and snatches up the babies. The mother and father return to find an empty nest. What happens to them then? Well, both parents are in distress beyond belief. Have any of you ever lost a child before? Imagine losing all of them. That's what most breeding birds have to go through, sometimes even on a monthly basis.

Most of you would argue "But that's the only way our birds get to be so friendly and loving when they grow up", but the truth is that it's not. Studies show that baby birds who spend twenty minutes a day several weeks after they've hatched are just as cuddly as hand-fed babies. So what am I asking? I'm asking if you believe that hand-feeding should be stopped, or if it should continue. Any bird breeders out there who have tried the latter method before? Tell us your experiences. Any breeders willing to try out the second way? Go ahead.

Question #16:

Do our pet birds feel the love we feel for them?

Question #17:

Should I clip my birds wings?

I have a lovebird who's wings are not clipped. He is afraid of hands and will not let anyone pet or touch him. but he will land on you finger, your head or your shoulder when you call him, but in order to decrease his fear of hands would it helped if I clipped his wings to make him more dependent on people. but i'm afraid that he will not like people if I clip his wings and he will forget how to come when I call him. Would a harness be a better choice although I don't think I could get it on him because he is too afraid. but I feel like I don't spend as much time with him out of his cage because he has to stay in my room all day because of the low ceilings so that I can catch him to get him back in his cage where as my other birds get to go in all the rooms of the house to explore and meet the other members of my family

edit: I know how to clip wings I clip all my other bird wings myself

Question #18:

Should I approach my sister or cast it all away?

Ugh! Sorry for the length.
Skip down to the ** if you don't want to read the whole thing.

I had gotten used to it just being my dad and I here, which was actually quite nice, considering our family history, but now, well, my sister and her boyfriend moved in. The house (five bedrooms) has plenty of space, and it's almost nice to have her around, sometimes - I guess, but she's getting on my last nerve and I don't know how to approach the situation without her taking offense.

The little things I've been able to just push aside, like her coming into the kitchen and re-arranging everything in the cupboards. They were already organized nicely, she just thought her way was, "better." I squeezed out a nod and just left the situation. That sort of thing continued with the dining room furniture, the kitchen table placement, and she took my spot in the driveway. All of this annoys me, but I'm not too concerned about them, they are just what started it.

I was worried about the amount of animals she was bringing, two lizards (large ones!), two dogs, a few birds, a ferret, and fish. Other than most of them smelling like sh;t, I have a cat and her 8 week old kittens. They stay in my bedroom and bath for now, but her dog, Tasha, chased my other cat, Tommy, all around the house. Wait until my kittens are ready to explore our house, that's going to be stressful. Sigh.

**********

Her pets were enough to take on, now the real animals are the people her boyfriend, Tim, brings around. They are gross and rude, and they make a mess in the kitchen and are too lazy to clean up. They are loud, even after I ask them to please keep it quiet, especially at night.

I've complained to my dad, but he's just as cautious when approaching my sister. Jen has always gotten what she's wanted, spoiled brat, and I guess I'm guilty of spoiling her, even though she's a couple years older, weird. Well, his friends are her friends, so telling her that they need to calm down or not come here at all, will cause tension between us, which I don't need.

How can I tell her my feelings about his friends, without them taking offense? Am I out of line? If I should just keep my mouth shut, please say so. If you think I'm being a wimp, I agree..

Thanks.

Question #19:

Bird lovers! What are really good bird types for pets?

I'm definatly a beginner...and I'm needing a quiter one so while I'm in school he can sit in my apartment for a couple hours at a time.
Thx to everyone who answered this question...you really helped a lot!!

Question #20:

Given my circumstances, should I get a female or a male Siamese Cat? =)?

I've always taken care of pets that are lower on the evolution scale.. lol: terrapins, fish, birds, etc,
A cat has never been allowed in our appartment before this day =)
Anyway so I have a chance of taking care of a three-months old Siamese cat (either boy or girl) and it's my first time with cats. I'm also not home for a good portion of the day and my mother isn't very fond of looking after pets.

My question is: Does the gender differ in the amount of attention a cat needs? Because I want the cat to be well-taken care of and relieve my mother of that as well =)

TY
