Question: blood parrot with goldfish?

Answer #1:

Goldfish are cold water fish that require cooler waters. Blood Parrot cichlids are tropical fish and require warm water. They are not compatible.

consider the goldfish food for the cichlid! :D The Cichlid WILL try to eat the goldfish chasing it around and pecking at it till it dies... So I would not recommend you to put the gold in the tank get a seperate tank unless you want the gold to get pecked to death

fist off the gold fish will probably end getting bigger than the chiclid, but that dosnt mean that will stop any potential bad behavior (it might but who knows?)

you will also be needing a 2 seperate and bigger tanks for those fish as gold fish are cold water and the BP is not, and youd need about 2 75 gallons for them. so essentially you wouldnot have to worry about aggresion in the first place.
