Question: If a home get repossessed, is it standard practice to sabotage the home?

( Back )

Answer #1:

Antifreeze is also put in the toilets if the house has no heat to keep pipes from bursting. The rest is stealing and vandalism, pure and simple. Many people turn to felons when they get mad at a bank wanting their money. This article is just a misunderstanding since the owner was told to leave and did not comply, but many evicted people want to blame others for their misfortune and try to "get even" for something the bank is not at fault for.

Answer #2:

Wow! Poor parrot - or perhaps the bird is better off on its perch in a warm banking hall, being greeted by customers, rather than being thirsty shivering [and alone?] in a house without water or electricity.

I suppose the antifreeze means this was a 'cold-climate' repossession: a safeguard against porcelain cracking.

I used to live in South Africa. There, banks were deterred from repossessions by simply heaving a tire onto the roof: that signalled, "You come in. You get necklaced."

Answer #3:

It is illegal to leave a live animal in an abandoned home, the parrot was not stolen.

The house was winterized and the power was cut to dissuade vagrants.

The bank is going to end up buying this womans home for her.
